My name is Ben Barbour, I'm 22 years old from U.K.. I studied Taekwondo for two years at SOAS TKD club, London, before coming to China, but I had no previous kung fu training.
The chinese people I met have been very kind and honest and welcoming. There are two Shaolin protection monks here with only a handful of students so the teaching is on individual basis and is of very high quality. Training is demanding but satisfying. The Academy is situated in the area of great natural beauty, surrounded by hills and overlooking a lake. The food and lodgings are fine. I plan to return in a few years. I will be training at the academy for nine months. |

My name is Simon Adams from Scotland. I had one year of taekwondo before coming to China.
Everyone here is very helpful and friendly. The Academy is very good, and the monks are excellent teachers and great characters. The meals are good and the lodging is pretty comfy. What I like best about my visit so far is to be able to train with real shao lin monks. |
